Go Asheville.com initially started out as a free directory for local businesses back in 1999. The 2-man web design firm that a friend and I started thought it would be a great idea to collect as many local web sites as we could and place them in directory form so tourists and residents alike could easily find them. This was when search engines were a dime a dozen and we thought it could also be a database of potential customers for us.
Go Asheville has gone through a couple of changes since first bursting on the scene over a decade ago and we now want to provide FREE business profiles in hopes of creating a unique, online community for Asheville on the internet.
